Use your email signature file !

OK . . . this seems so basic, but you’d be surprised how many people miss this opportunity.

In an earlier post, we talked about using every opportunity to Promote Promote Promote your business . . . and your email signature file is a perfect place to do this.

Your email goes to your clients, your friends and acquaintences, business associates and everyone you do business with.

Website

So make sure that you clearly show your website address and a reason to go there.

e.g.

Visit our site for cutting edge marketing ideas – www.yourdomain.com

or

Visit our site now for a great deal on xyz widgets – www.widgetcompany.com.au

or

Visit our site now for the best SEO Strategies for your website – www.HotpinkWebsites.com

Phone number

The other really important one is your phone number. If someone just got excited about what you wrote in your email and they want to buy it or ask you about it, make this as easy as possible. If your phone number is handy on your email signature file, then they can immediately contact you and you make the sale!

Make sure that you are listed with the search engines

Last time we talked about using every opportunity possible to promote your website offline.  And while that is important at a local level, you really must get onto the search engines.

While most search engines, (yes there are others apart from Google!), will eventually find your website, you can proactively list your website with search engines.  There are even sites that will do this for you.

Following are some links to register your website with some of the search engines.

These days, we have so many cards in our wallets and purses!

Firstly, there are credit acrds – and who has just one of those these days?

As well as ATM cards, Access cards, etc.

Then there are all the loyalty cards that we carry for coffee shops, Fly Buys, cinema, etc.
